Kaucyila Brooke, Untitled #32, from Vitrinen in Arbeit
I am very pleased to announce a publication party for Kaucyila Brooke’s new book featuring her work from the Vitrinen in Arbeit series. This body of work is a visual investigation of the Natural History Museum in Vienna. Brooke and Getty curator Virginia Heckert will consider the Natural History Museum in relation to projects by artists who have addressed the subject of museum display as well as Brooke’s prior artworks. This event will take place at the MAK Center on November 1th, 2009 at 7 pm. I look forward to seeing there.
